I’m Karla, the photographer behind the camera at Brittany Avenue Photography (named after the street I grew up on). I’ve been in the photography business for ten years and photographing baby’s first year has definitely become a favorite and specialty of mine over the years. I love being able to capture this special time, and I try to make the process stress free and enjoyable for my clients.
I graduated from Texas A&M with a business degree and am married to an Aggie. I have two boys and I love spending time with my family!

I. SESSION DETAILS
Newborn sessions take place in your home or in our studio, located in Katy.
Maternity sessions take place in our studio or outdoors.
The session fee is due at booking to secure your session date.

Client Prep and Wardrobe Styling guide
Session at our studio, outdoors or in your home
Newborn sessions are approximately 2 hours; all other sessions are 1 hour
Digital files, prints, and products are purchased separately.
*A collection must be purchased with each session. All prices are subject to Texas sales tax.

SINGLE SESSION
$250
Includes one session (studio, outdoor or lifestyle session in your home)
*Add $50 for in-home newborn sessions. A collection must be purchased separately
MATERNITY/ NEWBORN SESSION PACKAGE
$400
Includes two sessions that can be used for maternity and newborn
*A collection must be purchased for each session
BABY’S FIRST YEAR PLAN
$500
Includes 3-4 sessions from maternity through baby’s first birthday
*A collection must be purchased for each session
Once you’ve booked your session, I’ll send you a Client Guide that will walk you through everything to help you get ready for your session. The guide typically answers 90% of the questions that come up, but I’m always happy to set up a time to chat if you want additional help.
II. COLLECTION DETAILS
After your session, I’ll get started working on your gallery right away. I’ll narrow down the images from your session to my favorites to edit and include in your gallery. I’ll send you an e-mail as soon as your photos are ready (around 2-3 weeks after your session). You’ll be able to choose which collection you would like once you view your gallery. You can also purchase any professional prints, framed prints or an heirloom album through your gallery.

What you’re going to do with your images is perhaps the most important aspect to consider when you’re planning for your session, but it’s all too often overlooked… I’ve partnered with some of the best professional labs to offer beautiful products to my clients. Below is a sample of some of the items you can choose from:
CUSTOM FRAMED FINE ART PRINTS
Choose from our selection of gold, silver, white, gray and wood frames. Fine art print and 3″ mat are included.

During my busy times, I get booked a couple of months in advance so I recommend booking at least two months in advance to ensure availability.
–Maternity sessions: I recommend scheduling your maternity session when you’re around 30-32 weeks.
–Newborn sessions: The best time for newborn sessions is when baby is less than 2 weeks old since that’s when they’re the most sleepy. Don’t worry if baby is already past the two week mark… I’ve done plenty of older newborn sessions too! Just know that they may not sleep as much once but the awake photos are just as special.
–Outdoor sessions: Outdoor sessions take place in the morning or evenings (before sunset) when the lighting is best. If the weather isn’t ideal for the session (either raining or to cold) we will reschedule. I typically wait until the day of the session to decide if we need to reschedule because the weather forecast isn’t always reliable.
CLIENT SATISFCATION
My #1 goal is to make my clients happy… from the time you book your session until I deliver your printed products, I want to make sure you know what to expect throughout the entire process. My client’s favorite part of the session (and mine too!) is seeing their images displayed in their home… whether in an album or framed on their walls. My professional lab provides beautiful products, and I guarantee the quality and color for any of the products purchased from my lab. If there is ever a quality issue with any of the products purchased from my lab I’m happy to replace them at no cost.
READY TO BOOK?
If you’re ready to book your session, please send me an e-mail so I can confirm availability and then I”ll send over a link to the contract to secure your spot. Once I receive the contract and session fee, I’ll put your date on my calendar to reserve your session. We won’t schedule the exat date of the session until after baby is born, since you never know if they’ll be born early or late. I’ll also send over some information to get started planning your session.
