How is it already October?!? The temperature outsi

How is it already October?!? The temperature outside certainly doesn't feel like it! Busy season has officially arrived and I'm so excited to see so many families over the next couple of months.

I loved meeting this sweet family for their studio newborn session last week. Their sweet baby boy was four weeks old... a bit older than I typically do for newborn session but I still do plenty of "older" newborn sessions at this age! The nice thing about this age is you can usually get some pictures of baby sleeping and awake. He was perfect for his session, and we got a ton of awake pictures toward the end of the session. How sweet is the second picture where he's looking up at his mom and dad?!? ❤️

This little guy just came to see me for his one year session, and since today is his birthday, I just had to share a few favorites from his session. ❤️ It's crazy how much they change in one year!

Also, can you believe that the main source of light for these pictures was my studio light??? I used to be primarily a "natural light" photographer, and even though my studio gets a TON of natural light, I've been experimenting with blocking out some of the windows and using a studio light so I can control the direction of the light. The images still are still light and airy but I actually love the look of the studio light. What do you all think?!?

Loved seeing this sweet family again for their maternity session. We were trying to get a few pictures of just mom and dad, and their little guy decided he didn't want to be left out of any of the pictures... Swipe to see the cutest picture when he ran up to them. 😍

Since we did their last two sessions at my studio, we decided to change things up a bit and do this session at a studio in downtown Houston. I love all of the windows and natural light! It was the perfect place for their session.
