Including Pets in Newborn Photos
One of the many benefits of doing a newborn session at home is being able to include your pets in the photos. I love when clients include their pet in their session… Your fur babies were your first babies so it’s always special to include them!
Here’s a look at a few recent sessions where the family’s pet was included in the session.
A family photo where everyone (including the dog!) is looking at the camera is always a win!
This pup was just hanging out in the room watching for most of the session and finally decided she wanted to be included in a couple of pictures.
When there are TWO dogs things can get a little crazy!
I’ve found that most of my clients are dog people, but every now and then I have clients that have cats!

I’m a huge fan of including pets in a newborn/family sessions. They always add an extra dose of cuteness to the photo shoot.
Yes, that’s why I love lifestyle sessions at home so much. It’s so wonderful to include a family dog, cat and I even had a horse join in once.
I love when families bring their dogs, too! I love the one you shared with both dogs looking at their newest sibling: so sweet. Great work as always!
I love including pets in newborn sessions. They are such a special part of the family, often the first babies and these pictures are such wonderful memories!
