Lifestyle Photographer in Houston

An in home lifestyle session is so special because there’s no place more special than your home, especially when you first welcome your little one home. Brittany Avenue Photography is a lifestyle photographer in Houston, specializing in photographing in home newborn sessions in the Houston area.

There are few common questions that prospective clients tend to ask before booking an in home session:

Does my house need to look a certain way? My answer to this is yes and no. For example, if you’re wanting the light and airy style that you see in many of the photos on my website, then it’s helpful to have light colored walls (preferably white or off white or light gray) and minimal decor. That being said, I’ve done many sessions where my clients have dark accent walls, etc. and the pictures turn out beautiful. It just gives a different look than the “light and airy” style photos. Also, some clients worry if their nursery isn’t 100% finished and I always tell them that’s totally ok! The background is actually less distracting in pictures if you don’t have a lot on your walls.

What should I wear for my session? We have a client wardrobe full of dresses in every size that you’re welcome to borrow for your session. If you’d rather wear something of your own, we provide our clients with a Wardrobe Style Guide that gives suggestions on what to wear and what photographs best for moms. We’ve teamed up with a local hair and makeup artist that can come to our studio to help you get ready for your session.

Does the session include the digital images? We offer a few collections for clients to choose from after you view your gallery, all of which include high resolution digital images. I also offer professional prints, albums, etc. that can be purchased through an online gallery. Family Scheduling update: I’m currently scheduling milestone and family sessions through August 2023. I only have a few spots remaining for outdoor sessions through May. Studio sessions may be booked through August. Outdoor sessions may be booked through May and then will resume in September- Outdoor sessions are not scheduled during the summer due to the Houston heat and humidity.

Newborn Session Scheduling update: I’m currently booking newborn sessions through October 2023. My schedule fills up quickly, so please contact me soon if you’re considering a newborn session. I’m happy to answer any questions you may have and send a sample gallery over to give you an idea of what to expect for a session.
