Newborn Photos in Houston – What to do with your photos
We live in a digital world where everyone saves pictures on their phone and posts them on social media, but your precious memories deserve to be printed and displayed in your home where you and your family can enjoy them. The memories captured during your session will become more valuable as time goes on, so it’s important to think about how you want to display them.
Wall Art

When purchasing wall art to display in your home, it’s important to think about what size will work best for your space. 5×7 and 8×10 prints work great if you want some small prints to put on a bookshelf or piece of furniture, but if you want to display images on your walls you’ll need to go bigger.
My favorite way to display images on a wall is with a gallery wall of multiple pictures. I love gallery wall displays because they will help fill a large wall space, and you can display your favorite images together.
The 11×14 print is my favorite size to use in a grouping of pictures. I have them hanging throughout my house… in hallways, in my bedroom, gameroom and in my entry way. I love that they’re so versatile, you can hang them in different groupings, depending on the amount of wall space you have. You can have them custom framed with a 2 or 3″ mat (I prefer a 3″ mat), or you can purchase a 16×20 frame that has a mat opening for an 11×14 print. I usually hang them in groups of 3, 4 or 6.
Below are examples of how an 11×14 print matted with a 3″ mat would look with different groupings. You could do these groupings with other sized prints as well. I love to do wall galleries with square sized prints too!

If you would prefer to have one larger statement piece for your walls, then I recommend doing a larger print (at least a size 16×20 print to be matted and framed, or even at least 20×24 if you want to do a gallery wrap canvas).
