3 Reasons to do a Studio Maternity Session

3 Reasons to do a Studio Maternity Session

Although I love a sunset maternity session, I have to say that studio maternity sessions are definitely a favorite. There are 3 reasons why I love studio maternity sessions.

#1 Black & white portraits

I just love black and white portraits, and studio portraits in B&W are so classic, especially blacklit pictures in front of the window. These are always some of my favorite pictures from maternity sessions.

#2 You don’t have to worry about the weather

The weather is always unpredictable. Not to mention there are certain months during the year that I don’t even offer outdoor sessions because it’s just too hot and humid (Houston summers can be brutal!). Especially when you’re pregnant, it’s so much more comfortable to be indoor in the air conditioning than outside in the heat, or potentially mosquitoes! Also, you don’t have to worry about if it’s going to rain with a studio session. I have a large window in my studio that has great natural light even when it’s cloudy or rainy, and I have a studio light I use if it’s dark.

#3 The white studio is classic and timeless

If you’ve followed for me for a while or looked through my portfolio, you probably already know that my style is classic and timeless. The white studio is perfect for timeless portraits that will never go out of style.
